In our effort to provide our customers with the best possible service, Riverway has embarked on a new project to produce, in cooperation with Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. our first new towboat in 25 years. The M/V BOOTSIE B. will be built to the demanding standards of an organization dedicated to excellence in the river transportation industry. With a completion date set for early next year, Riverway wishes to document the creation of this state of the art motor vessel.

Power: Two EMD 16 cylinder 710G7B turbo charge diesel engines developing at total of 8,000 HP.
Propulsion: Two solid stainless steel 122" diameter, 5 bladed propellers installed in kort nozzles through Lufkin 3624 reverse/reduction gears with a ratio of 4.85:1.
Fernstrum grid coolers will cool the engines.
Hydraquip/Jastrom will provide steering with independently controlled Bollinger flanking and steering rudders.
Electrical power will be supplied by two 190 KW generators, each driven by a Caterpiller 3306 diesel engine.
The boat will be able to carry 140,000 gallons of fuel, 7000 gallons of oil and 30,600 gallons of potable water.
The deckhouse will be mounted on vibration isolators for greater crew comfort and equipment longevity.
